Diamond Casino Heist Guide

heists casino heist money stealth

The Diamond Casino Heist is the most replayable big heist in GTA Online: three genuinely different approaches, rotating vault contents, and a gross pot from $2.1M (cash) up to $3.29M (diamonds, when active) — plus 10% more on hard. It needs at least two players, costs $25,000 to set up each run, and the vault target you scope decides most of your payday before you ever fire a shot. Model your exact split — crew cuts included — in the heist payout planner, and see where it sits against every other heist in the ranked hub.

An arcade is the mandatory planning property — the heist board lives in its basement. The Paleto Bay location is the cheapest at $1.235M, but most grinders pay extra for a city arcade (Videogeddon in La Mesa is a favorite) to cut prep travel time. It also earns passive machine income on the side.

Preps send you into gang attacks, police stations and armed convoys. The Armored Kuruma’s bulletproof windows turn most of them into drive-by shooting galleries — it has been the heist-prep car of choice since 2015.

Scope out the casino first

The scoping mission matters more here than in any other heist. Photograph access points (there are 11 in total, including the side doors, the roof keypad doors and the sewer tunnel) and hack the cameras inside to reveal the vault contents:

  • Cash — $2.1M. The default and the worst target.
  • Artwork — $2.35M. Fastest to grab; paintings cut free in seconds.
  • Gold — $2.59M ($2,843,500 on hard). The best regular target.
  • Diamonds — $3.29M ($3.62M on hard). Only in the rotation when Rockstar enables them for an event period; take them whenever they appear.

Vault contents reshuffle each run, so re-scope (a quick camera hack) when you want a specific target.

The three approaches

Silent & Sneaky is the classic stealth run: suppressed weapons, camera avoidance, and a full wipe if you like ghosting guards. Highest skill ceiling, most restarts while learning.

The Big Con is the honest recommendation. The Gruppe Sechs disguise walks you through the front of the security tunnel straight to the vault level with zero resistance — you only fight (or sneak) on the way out, and the exit-disguise prep lets you change outfits and stroll away. It is the most consistent clean run in the game.

Aggressive is the fastest and loudest: thermal-charge the doors, shotgun the guards, fight out. Fun with a coordinated group, but the constant damage and higher casino security make it the least efficient for money.

Each approach has an elite challenge — broadly, finish the finale in under 15 minutes with nobody wasted (undetected for the stealth approaches, headshot quotas for Aggressive) — worth an extra $50,000, or $100,000 on hard mode.

Crew picks: spend on the hacker, nowhere else

Support crew take their cut off the top, so cheap out where skill doesn’t matter:

  • Gunman: Karl Abolaji (5%). His weapon loadout is worse, but on Big Con or a clean stealth run you barely use it.
  • Driver: Karim Denz (5%). Pick sensible getaway bikes and his cheap cut is free money.
  • Hacker: this is where you pay. The hacker sets your time inside the vault: Avi Schwartzman (10%) gives about 3:30 undetected, Paige Harris (9%) about 3:25, while budget picks leave you under 3:00. Avi unlocks by destroying all 50 signal jammers around the map; Paige needs a Terrorbyte. Never take Rickie Lukens (3%) — his ~2:26 costs you far more loot than his cut saves.

The vault and the way out

Inside, hit the fingerprint hack, then loot with a route in mind — on hard mode the door has extra locks and a second fingerprint scan, so every second of hacker time counts. On the way out, pick your buyer deliberately: higher-level buyers pay more for the loot but the drop-off is farther across the map. Lose the heat, swap disguises if you prepped them, and deliver.

Hard mode and the replay loop

You can’t run the same approach twice in a row. When a previously used approach reappears with a skull note, it runs on hard mode: +10% loot ($2,843,500 on a gold run). Veterans alternate two approaches — usually Big Con and Silent & Sneaky — so every run from the third onward lands on hard.

Two-player viability

Two players is the sweet spot for per-person profit: every prep can be done solo by the host, and a duo splits only one crew’s worth of cuts. The trade-off is carry capacity — two bags usually can’t empty the entire vault before the timer, so route to the highest-value stacks first. If you mostly play alone, Cayo Perico is still the true solo heist; the casino is what you run the moment you have one reliable partner.

Reinvest the first few pots into passive income — the arcade itself is a start, and the best businesses guide covers where the money goes next.
