GTA Online Heists Ranked (2026)

heists money ranked payouts

GTA Online now has five original apartment heists, three Doomsday acts, the Diamond Casino Heist, Cayo Perico, weekly Salvage Yard Robberies — and, as of July 14, 2026, the brand-new Kortz Center Heist. This hub ranks them all by realistic GTA$/hour, effort and the property buy-in each one demands. Pots below are gross takes the host splits via cuts; to see your actual net after cuts and fees, use the heist payout planner.

The buy-ins at a glance

Every heist line is gated behind a property. Here’s what each unlock costs:

PropertyTypeLocationPrice
High-End Apartment (Eclipse Towers)ApartmentEclipse Towers, Vinewood$400,000
FacilityFacilityVarious$1,250,000
Arcade (Paleto Bay)ArcadePaleto Bay$1,235,000
Salvage Yard (Murrieta Heights)Salvage YardMurrieta Heights$1,400,000

1. The Cayo Perico Heist — best GTA$/hour

1–4 players, a $100,000 start fee (waived on your first run), and the only heist you can run start-to-finish alone. The Pink Diamond primary pays $1,300,000 ($1,430,000 on hard), primaries range from $630K (Tequila) to $1.9M (Panther Statue), and stackable secondary loot adds hundreds of thousands more — though note that the July 14, 2026 update trimmed primary and secondary values by amounts the community is still pinning down. Even so, no cut splitting when solo means Cayo is still the best money-per-hour in the game — practiced players finish a full run, preps included, in around an hour.

The Kosatka submarine is Cayo’s only gate. At $2.2M it’s the single best investment in GTA Online — it pays for itself in about two runs. Full route in the Cayo Perico solo guide.

2. The Diamond Casino Heist — biggest pot

The largest scored take: $2,585,000 for Gold ($2,843,500 on hard), with Cash at $2.1M, Artwork at $2.35M and Diamonds — when Rockstar rotates them in — at $3.29M ($3.62M on hard). Setup costs are $25,000 and you need at least one teammate (2–4 players), so the per-head take trails Cayo, but a good duo still clears several hundred thousand per player per hour. Approach choice matters enormously — see the Diamond Casino Heist guide.

An arcade is mandatory to plan the Casino Heist, and it doubles as passive income once the machines are stocked. Buy cheap — location barely matters for the heist itself.

3. Salvage Yard Robberies — best low-effort weekly

The Chop Shop update’s robberies are smaller scores but very fast: three vehicle-theft contracts per week from a rotating pool (Cargo Ship, McTony, Gangbanger, Duggan and Podium robberies), each a couple of short setups plus a finale you can do solo. Better weekly vehicles sell for roughly $300K–$400K, and completing all three weekly challenges adds a small bonus. As a weekly habit alongside bigger heists it’s excellent GTA$/effort — full breakdown in the Salvage Yard Robberies guide.

4. The Doomsday Heist — Acts I–III

Three acts run from a Facility (from $1.25M), each playable with 2–4 players — the only classic heist line a duo can host end to end. Act I pays $975,000 ($1,218,750 hard), Act II $1,425,000 ($1,781,250 hard), and Act III $1,800,000 ($2,250,000 hard), each for a $25,000 setup fee. Act II is the community’s pick for pot-per-effort with a coordinated pair. Setups happen in free roam, which costs time in busy lobbies — details in the Doomsday Heist guide.

5. The Pacific Standard Job — best of the originals

The classic four-player bank job: a $1,500,000 pot ($1,875,000 on hard) for a $25,000 start fee, with the elite challenge worth another $100,000. It demands a competent crew of exactly four, which is its real cost. Route and bike-escape tips in the Pacific Standard guide.

6–9. The rest of the apartment heists

All launched from a high-end apartment with a planning room for a $25,000 fee ($11,500 for Fleeca), all requiring exactly four players (except Fleeca’s two):

These rank low on GTA$/hour in 2026, but Rockstar’s periodic 2x–3x event weeks can temporarily vault them up this list.

New: The Kortz Center Heist (July 2026)

Released July 14, 2026, the Kortz Center Heist is a scope-and-infiltrate art museum robbery for 1–4 players, run with hustler Raf De Angelis: steal a rotating Primary Target painting from the Albert Crisp Collection vault, plus optional secondaries. The catch is the steepest buy-in yet — it’s planned from an Art Studio Mansion expansion (about $4.7M, with Fine Art Collector and GTA+ discounts), on top of a Mansion from December 2025’s A Safehouse in the Hills update (from $11.5M). Payout data is still settling on launch day — Rockstar has confirmed weekly first-sale bonuses and a “buyer fatigue” mechanic that trims repeat sales — so we’re leaving it unranked until real numbers land. Requirements, scoping, preps and the finale are covered in the Kortz Center Heist guide.

For completeness: December 2024’s Agents of Sabotage added the FIB Files — four robbery-style contracts from the $2.35M Darnell Bros Garment Factory, paying mid-six-figures on weekly Priority Files — and June 2025’s Money Fronts added laundering businesses but no true heist.

The bottom line

Buy the Kosatka first and grind Cayo, add an arcade for Casino runs with a friend, and treat Salvage Yard robberies as weekly pocket money. Story mode is a different beast — see the GTA V story heists guide — and if you’re still building your first bankroll, start with the money-making guide and which properties to buy first.
